Some brilliant footage here from the birth of the Mountain Bike when folks were still riding single speed beachesque cruisers down sandy hills with barely functioning brakes and a complete lack of suspension.
Nowadays downhill mountain bikes look more like motocross bikes than their human powered brothers. Anyone who has seen the G-Honda bike ridden by the likes of Greg Minaar would agree. The thing has an internal gear box!
